I was watching a video on Youtube and it was a Canadian test ride of a blue Valk.  When the guy was talking about the bike he said that it was an ABS model.  When they showed the front fender, sure enough, there was the ABS sticker.  The test ride was even done in Ontario, probably near Toronto.  Of all the Valks I looked at, only the black ones ever said ABS.

Here is the video.  The shot of the front end in near the end of the video.

Mine's black, and I've used the rear a few times, and the front once. I've no doubt that without it I'd have slid on my ass or head a number of times!  uglystupid2

I have used my ABS a few times in the past couple of years.  The stopping is awesome.  I always use both front and back brakes and they have never locked up.

I traded my 99 Valk in for a new one this past winter.  It is a blue 2014 with ABS.  I thought they only came in black as well.  The other thing I discovered that mine has the ability to switch between metric and imperial speed readings.  Don't know if this is the same with all of them or just the Canadian version.

Hi Wayne.

I believe that they all can switch between miles and KM.  I doubt Honda would put in two different types of software.

ABS is only available on a black bike in America because that was American Honda's choice, as ABS is both not required by law and seen as less important by American bikers.

ABS is required by law in many other countries, so a full range of body colors are available.

We here in the United States didn't even get the ABS decal on the front fender of the "only available in black" ABS bike, and the rest of the world got standard ABS on all colors. Also as a side note, the F6B in the United States got no ABS option, also standard for the rest of the world.
