You guys are probably  sick of hearing about Corbin seats, but here is a little more: I rode the the Corbin for two seasons but it never really softened up. This winter I sent it back to Corbin to have them replace the filler with softer foam (or whatever they use).  Also, I had them move the seating position ahead about one inch. I am 6 feet tall with average arm length, but always seemed I had to reach for the handlebars. Well today was my first ride of the season with the (new) seat. Corbin did a great job!  Now my arms are slightly bent instead of being straight out towards the bars. You (southern boys) probably  can't relate to this but usually  up here in the north, you first ride is not a long one as your (Arce) has to get adjusted to riding again. I rode for an hour and a half- seat felt good.  The only downfall was a  darn bee flew in my open face helmet and stung me behind the ear!  But it's great to be riding again.

Demand a refund! They should have accounted for bees flying into your helmet and stinging you in the ear!

Glad you are happy with your seat.  (My Corbin is how I discovered Airhawk seat cushions)

I got the bee in the helmet on the freeway (3/4 open face) years ago.  He crawled around in there and could not get out, so he tried to get out by crawling into my ear.  Buzzing really loud, IN my ear.  This happened at 70, and I immediately moved to center lane to get off and out into the safer median of grass.  I did it is as fast as I could without wrecking on grass.  At the same time, I was freaking out with the fuzzy stingy bastard wiggling further into my ear.  Jumped off the bike, launched the helmet straight up and started dancing around and smacking and poking both ears.  The traffic was heavy and I got a lot of pointing and laughing.  Through some miracle, I was not stung.

Never had a bee in a half helmet. (but have killed them with my forehead)

Got hornets or yellow jackets down my jacket before, and I got stung a bunch (armpit is amazingly sensitive).

Well , it was just 3 years ago when I opened the  eye window to my full face  and a paper wasp immediately flew in and somehow  ended up  on my ear , biting my ear as I was pounding on my helmet with my left hand  , did not seem to help , collected my senses and pulled over to stop , removed my helmet  and he flew off after several bites , all happened so quick  .

I ride through swarms of bees   all the time  .

I've been stung all my life by various bees/wasps with no adverse result (other than ordinary pain and swelling).  However I got hit by yellow jackets twice in the last few years in my backyard, and while it didn't affect my airway or breathing, the results were much worse (and lasting) than in my youth.  I am more careful now, and have declared permanent Jihad on all yellow jackets on earth (but esp those in my backyard).

I usually have a number of other bees around my property (esp big bumble bees), and they are welcome and undisturbed.  But all yellow jackets must die.

Glad you like it :-)  As this shows, again guys you don't have to put up with a factory Corbin setup if your body doesn't match what the factory had in mind.

So don't be afraid to order a Corbin, just measure yourself, judge your requirements, and tell them what you expect your seat to do for you.

Got a bee sting on my throttle hand right a the base of the index finger. I guess the poor bugger got trapped there and when I went to twist the throttle that was all he needed. So lifted my hand looked and he was gone but the stinger was still there, took it out and just a twinge of pain for an hour or so.

As for the seat in my estimation Corbin makes the best looking seats. I dont mind the hardness at all and  like has been stated you can send it back for modifications or tell what you want up front. That kind of personal seat adjustment along with the design makes Corbin the one I choose.

I have had Corbin seats on four bikes and I love them. They are firm which I have to have or my back side goes to sleep after about an hour.
I cannot ride a soft plush seat, Corbin seats are perfect for me and I was surprised when I got my first one to learn that was what I needed all along.
I originally thought it would be really uncomfortable, boy was I in for a surprise.
I just bought another new one last month for this Valk...

Seats are real personal choices.

My perspective...

Had Corbin's on 3 bikes, better than stock, but not really LD.
Had a Rick Mayer on my St1300, great for many IB rides, looked okay.
My Valk is stock, probably too soft for LD, but will,go to inzane.
Changed the st1300 to a Sargent seat this year, looks and feels nice but not LD.

Heard speculator things from Russel owners, but look frumpy. The ultimate LD seat.

Your Valk Corbin pics look great, enjoy!

I don't know, almost every time I'm out with the bike nowadays I do a least one 400 mile day; if I'm out for the weekend I usually pull from 800 to 1000 miles.  Just did a 380 mile day last Sunday because I was horribly bored.  Usually I cross through at least 3 states on a day trip, I've done up to  5 states a day (a loop just to get out of the house).

As I noted previously, my longest day in my Corbin was 11.5 hours to go 450 miles (maaaaaasive holiday traffic!).  I have no problem with mine, looks great, fits great.

Fixing to give them a call.  My Corbin seat is definitely an improvement over the stock seat, but still causes me pain at times.
