Just pick up my bike on Wednesday from the dealer. They had it for 2 days installing all the accessories that I had order. They only thing left to do is the seat (not until June 21), Belly pan (they were delivered a silver not black) and the baker legs wings, but when I got home from the ride today the parts were here at the house and I installed them tonight. I also changed the oil at 500 miles.

Took off this morning to go and check our condo in Heber/Overgaard. (I haven’t been there in a couple of months and need to check it out to make sure everything is OK).  I need to stop by the dealer today before I left town. That added another 60 miles to my trip, but what the hell I’m riding today.

Put in 380 miles total today and most of that was in 65 to 70 degree temps. Did do some side trips along the rim and to Woods Canyon Lake. The new bike was a joy to ride. With the Progressive Monotubes install Beeline highway’s sweepers was like riding on a rail. The only bad part is the seat sucks. After about 250 miles my butt was sore. The new seat can’t come fast enough for me.

Well it was and enjoyable day of riding  cooldude  cooldude

Don't you know that belly pans help with crosswinds??  2funny  2funny No really I have always had a belly pan to protect the coolant tank and oil filter from road debris.

Yeah, I have heard those old wives tales...  2funny

Not saying that extra protection isn't worth while and there is always a first time but in 40 years on two wheels I have yet to have a filter or coolant tank damaged.

I have been riding also for 40 years and never got a flat on a trip, but in the last 2 years I had 2 flats on a 2 different trips. Sh$t happens and for $50 it is cheap protection and don't you know it is going to increase my MPG.  2funny 2funny

I don't really believe it Rob, but I'm way beyond healed. I'm lifting weights in the gym and have almost all of my leg strength back. It means that the Valk can stay around for many miles to come, although I have converted it to a single seater. Thanks for asking.

Ron, since you always carry a Rack bag have you thought about adding these?

Yes it is already installed. It was installed when the rack went on. I had it on my 07 and like it a lot.
