It is totally understandable that everyone everywhere would enjoy hanging out with the warm and friendly volks in these here parts. Where are you from and what model Valk do you ride? At least one photo per post please. How many pages can we get out of this thread? Ya, Dag, as big as Texas is, Norway still qualifies as "out of state"!

I am out of state too in Spain where it is a little warmer than where Dag is. This is my Valk on the day I bought it a month ago in the UK, it is now in Spain and partially stripped so I can get the chroming re-done as it had been allowed to corrode in the salty seaside air in the UK.

Gotta love those Bumblebees!   cooldude

Hey Colin, how's the project coming?  I tried to look at your pictures on either the General or Tech board, but I couldn't view them.

Dave

Here you go this is where I am keeping the photos (I think that it is the same URL)

HERE

I have just started a bit of stripping but I had to take SWMBO away for a couple of days and today it rained all day. I have ordered some bits from both the UK and the US and am just waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully got someone to look at my Shadow tomorrow as I really need to sell that to fund the re-build.

I eventually got hold of Pinwall on the phone today and a couple of other suppliers in the US but they all seem to use UPS which means that I have to pay import duty and taxes whereas if they used USPS I wouldn't. Also according to UPS (Fedex etc) my house doesn't exist and so they won't deliver to the door (it was built 6 years ago and is on a street that was built 30 years ago) so I have to go to their depot (200km round trip) when I have paid for a door to door service which really annoys me and they charge an additional 40Euros / $60 customs clearance fee. Rant over.

Pinwall have said if small parts then they will USPS them (good customer service cooldude) but I don't think that they call exhausts small parts though  Wink. Got to keep looking to see what I can find. I am not really in a rush BUT I would like to ride it asap.

Here are a couple of pics sent to me by my old high school / college buddy, Chip (flat6 in NC) Glunt.  As if living in such a beautiful part of the country with so much great riding weren't enough, his wife, Lisa, rides too!

Here's Orange Crush, found earlier this year with 5,500 miles on it, and Elvis, the one-owner, 48-state, 7-province Interstate.
