Southern Maryland

« on: April 23, 2017, 07:59:12 AM »

Hey All,

I'm just doing a poll to see how many are in the Delmarva area who like/are good at working on the Valkyrie?  It'd be nice to know a few folks who can connect to bounce ideas, assist, and maybe even hire to do certain work.  99% of the time I do my own, but sometimes it would be nice to have options.

Maybe there are others who feel the same?

I'm located in southern Maryland.

Cheers,

I'm about 15 mi. West of Philly. Love working on my bike, in fact I'm bringing a second, orphaned '98 that sat out in the weather for 10 years back to life.

Where's the like button on here Smiley. Would like to see some pics of how you're doing with the '98 Jim...current state, future plans. @Joker, I am in Dutchess, so not far. I am not a certified/master mechanic but I can tackle most jobs on a Valkyrie.  Let me know what you need.

I work at Dahlgren navy base (at the 301 bridge). I live in on the east side of Fredericksburg about 26 miles west of Dahlgren.
I go into southern Maryland to meet up with some other riders from the naval station.
I have rebuilt just about every system on my 97 Tourer.
If you need help I'll help if I can.

I'm in Stafford, Va and was thinking along the same lines.  I know when I was in Texas there were a lot of wrench parties and get togethers.  I've done about everything except fork seals and springs, which is way over due.

On west side of Richmond, Va. Not an expert by any means but am learning alot about fuel system so far. (By necessity..ha). Would love to know about a semi-local "wrenching party" if ever one goes down!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention...there is a photo and video moratorium on the project bike. I just finished her and put the final coat of wax on yesterday.  Grin Grin
All will have to wait until Travis (our son) lays eyes on her for the first time @ Inzane.  angel
After that, I will be happy to post some pre and post project work pics...
