I looked over the post from Jess about rides in the Smokey Mountains, and thought this would be nice for here too. I don't own that riders book of roads, I forget the name, and was thinking it might be nice to post something from people who live in the area.

I'm thinking something along the lines of the following. Just remember I'm not a great writer, and it's been a while. Anything you want to add or correct, post, and I'll edit. So it will be an ongoing work in progress.

Format, something along the lines of what I wrote. Road, stops/points of interest, then junctions

Thank You All for the help in advance!

Hwy 5 - Hope to Merritt - mountains
- 2 lane Hwy with some fantastic views and long sweeps. Washrooms at the old tool booth, and the Merritt visitor station on the 5A connector to Kelowna.
- I usually start this stretch off when going north with breakfast at the Hope Drive In and Restaurant, 590 Old Hope Princeton Way.
- Othello Tunnels. Just outside of Hope, either the back road from Hope, or up the Coq to the first exit. Turn of the 20th Century tunnels for the Kettle Railroad, named by the engineer who was into Shakespeare, made by hand by the Chinese imported for the work. I've never toured them yet, but told they are cold in high summer.
- Merritt junctions: 8 west to Spences Bridge, 97C north west to Logan Lake/Cache Creek, 5 (Coq)/5A (old Hwy) north to Kamloops, 5A/97C east to Kelowna, 5A south east to Princeton.
- Hope junctions: Hwy 1 Trans Canada north, 3 east to Princeton, Hwy 1 west to the coast, 7 to Agassiz/Harrison Hot Springs

Hwy #6.....Vernon to Needles with a short ferry ride over to Fauquier. Best stretch of Hwy in all of BC. Loads of twisties and spectacular scenery.
