Brake pedal height

Does anyone think the brake pedal is positioned wrong?
I lowered my brake pedal as low as the adjustment would allow because I felt it strange to have to lift your foot off the peg to access the pedal.
Also;
I noticed when I bought this bike a few months ago that I had trouble shifting into second without excessive noise. The reason was the shifter was too high and with my foot at that angle, I have very little power at the top range of my foot travel. (unless your four foot tall and your leg is straighter)
Moving the shifter down a notch solved this problem. Maybe this is only a problem for tall riders because the taller you are the more forward your knee is going to be and the further down your toes are pointed, and because you lower leg is at such an angle that the angle between your foot and shin is shallow.
I thought I would mention this because it made a lot of difference for me, and may help others... I'm 6"1'
(Or was?)

Gabriel, I am 6'6" tall. I put the peg lowering kit and Cobra floorboards on my Valk and I am comfortable with braking and shifting. I finally got the tools, hardware, and time to put those straight risers on the bike so I am hoping to improve arm comfort too. I have Kuryakyn iso highway pegs hanging off of the engine guards too and they help...a lot. I'm comfortable on the bike, and the ultimate King seats are a must for tall Valk riders. I've ridden hours on end with zero numb butt...
