Wink Guys and Gals, The Team at Two Brothers need an F6C to look at to give us a quote on making us some slipon mufflers. They are very willing to take a peak and give us a quote on a group price. Please, can someone arrange this to happen! Danny Valencia is the response person. The President approved it and said they have done this before for unusual bikes.
Thanks and how many are in on the mufflers?

I'm located in Pennsylvania, sorry can't help in Cali..

Like I said before, last two bikes had Two Brothers exhaust, good stuff.

Count me in on group buy.
As a side note. A better sounding bike is nice, but I'll guess about a 15-20lbs. weight savings is nicer yet.   Grin

Count me in on a group buy.  Hopefully, it will be around the same price as the F6B.

Although, I would want a pair that is about six inches longer than what we have now, so that it is even with the back fender. That was my initial reason for wanting to get the TBR pipes.

I reside just North of San Francisco and I would be willing to go down South (450 mi.) to Santa Anna. I just emailed Danny Valencia and will report back when he responds. I've been through this before (two years ago) with Two Brothers, and I hope it doesn't turn out the same. They said they would take a look and then reversed their decision. It also depends on how long they would want my bike. I'd be staying there until they are finished, so cost would be a factor. I'll report back ASAP.

This is an EMAIL that I received on 6-18-2015, I REPEAT, 6-18-2015

Hey Frank,

I will present this to my designers and let them know there are people asking about an exhaust for this bike.

Thanks for the inquiry,

Dan Strudwick

I then received an email saying that they would try to design a pipe after the racing season. Finally an email saying that there wasn't enough bikes made to support R&D. I'm hoping that I don't hear the same! I haven't heard anything as of yet.

Thanks goldie.

So far looks like I better not hold my breath...

IMO,  They have a pipe for the F6B, is the F6C that much different?  How much more R&D is needed?

I wonder if a cut down F6B pipe would work?

Makes you wanna say, "fookit my stock pipe is working just fine".  Angry

Wink The F6B pipe is longer. You must have missed the post. I like the stock pipe, but it is a bit quite for me. Two Brothers pipes for the F6B is nice and mellow yet louder than stock and a bit of weight savings and power increase. We will see, They responded to my email and are willing to help us if they can without losing money for a few. The more of us the better the chance. The F6B's lowest price I could find was $575.00 at biohazardcycles.com. I would pay it in a heart beat is they bolt on but that's my choice. All I need is how many of us will buy if and when they are available. I will post a separate new post if that time comes

I am not very confident with Two brothers getting back to us.  Now, I am considering the Rush exhaust that goldstar903 (Frank) mentioned before.  I checked out videos on the sound and it is very similar to the Two Brothers at a cheaper price.  Plus the reviews seem pretty good.  I can pick up a set for $349 for the black ones compared to $640 for the Two Brothers black pipes and they have an assortment of tips available.

Unfortunately, That might be the case. I will suggest that Dan get with the guy that he initially spoke to and see what's up. Brian, on what site did you see and hear the Rush exhaust?

Dan, I have not heard a peep from TBR. I realize that this is race season, and they're pretty busy. Maybe you should reach out to the gentleman that you initially spoke with?  ???

Here you go Frank.

To me, they sound just as nice as the TBR at a cheaper price.  Also, you have a really good choice of tips that you can get for them.  The pipes don't come with tips.  You have to buy them separate.

Ok...After some exhaustive searching...pun intended   2funny 2funny

.....I have come to the conclusion that most aftermarket exhausts will create a drone for the 1800 engine at highway speeds.  They are fine at idle and blipping the throttle, but when the engine is under constant load the droning sound sets in.  If you are pretty much deaf then it is not a problem.  I, on the other hand, have pretty good hearing.  Most have said that they didn't hear anything in the videos, but when it came to rel life, the drone was there.  I searched on both the F6B forum and the various GL1800 forums and it seems that the dreaded drone sound is present in most of the pipes out there with the exceptions of the Vance and Hines pipes and Torque Loops.  Since both are crazy expensive and only come in chrome, I have decided to go with my original plan.  To get my pipes powder coated black.

I did see a you tube video about doing it yourself using VHT caliper paint.  I may try that first, since it won't cost much to do and if it goes bad then I still can get the powder coating done this winter.  They have to sandblast the pipes to do the powder coating anyways.  coolsmiley

Most of what I hear comes from the air intake (Arai Signet-Q helmet with Sena SMH10R installed).

Ya know Kidd, now that I have been thinking about exhausts, I find that the stock pipes have a drone to them as well, but not all the time.  If I set the cruise at 55-65 mph, the pipes start to drone after a minute or so.  I never noticed it much before.  I do wear a full face helmet all the time.  A Shoei Multi-tec. Maybe I am becoming hyper aware of the exhaust now.  If the Rush pipes are not as bad, then it would be an improvement.  I am going to Americade in a week, or so and I will see if I can spot a wing with Rush pipes and talk to the owner.
