All,

I'm getting ready for a longer trip and doing some preventative maintenance.
Front brake pads are getting replaced. The calipers are off and getting rebuilt.

I'm considering replacing the lines with Galfer stainless while at it.

My question is;
What will I get, if I order Galfer part number D465-4?
The description simply says that it is four lines.
The brakes use three lines and a tee.

Has anyone used this exact part number to know that it works?

Thanks, Allan

Updated with a drawing of the front brake hose routing, for clarification.

Stainless hydraulic lines are good. OEM lines are also good. I've never seen a set of
stainless lines on a Valkyrie that didn't look like they were "added on"... there might
be some that "fit like they belong there", I just haven't seen them... especially the
front ones, where the OEM lines split into two at the bit of hard-line at the
triple tree... I'm convinced by some of the posts I've seen that some folks think
OEM lines suck, I can't relate. I once changed out everything like you're doing,
also rebuilt the master cylinder, and used new OEM lines... once I got it bled
right, I was (and still am) real happy with the function and feel of my front
brakes...  cooldude

Call or email Galfer and ask for a photo of the opened parts. I had them on a former Valk and liked them. They didn't look added at all.

I have these

http://www.xf6-custom.com/partpages/valbrakelines.html

for quite a few years now and they are perfect replacements for the stock ones.  I was able to get ones 2" longer because of the duece risers I have on and could then route them exactly where the stock ones were.

Between those and the EBC rotors and HH pads, I have basically 2 finger very good feel and stopping power braking.  I tried the organic pads with the EBC rotors and in the rain there was like a 2 second delay from applying the brakes to slowing down Sad

I was forced to get aftermarket hydraulic lines for my 1800 in order to put
risers and big handlebars on it. I didn't get "metal-looking" lines, but I did get
black Spiegler lines... they seem to be very high quality and the Spiegler
tech guy was very responsive to my questions...

I have them on my Standard, they follow the exact same paths as the stock ones but look much better.

Are these the ones pictured above? If so, these are what I want.

Those are exactly like what I have.  I did not want the double banjo at the handle bar.  I wanted basically stock setup but stainless and a little longer for my risers.

So, I am easily confused. Is this the link ( http://www.xf6-custom.com/partpages/valbrakelines.html ) to those exact lines in the pic?

It looks like them as since there are only 3 places for banjo bolts and I can see the T as well.

Just contact them.

http://www.xf6-custom.com/aboutxf6.html

and tell them what you want.  They are really easy to work with.  That is what I did.  I told him I had "deuce" clone risers and he suggested the extra length, otherwise I would not know how much extra I needed.
