Nice deer, and with a bow no less. I love archery hunting, what a rush. It takes a little more skill to get that buck in bow range.  cooldude For those who dont bow hunt I would compare it to grinding pegs through twisties, It gets the blood pumping.

A friend of mine, just 2 days ago, was on his way home from work when, on a little side road close to his home, A deer(or 2) walked out in front of him. He was riding his screamin eagle ultra classic.

Wasnt much choice in the matter so, he tucked in under the 4 inch windshield, went wot and hit the deer square in then ribs. cut the thing in half. he ended up about 150 feet out in a corn field, bike was totaled  but he got up and walked back to the road. didnt break a bone. they thought he broke a hip but, just bruised. lucky guy.  bad part is, leo's and ambulance show up, he goes to hospital, take bloood, .10 blood alcohol level.

see? cant even enjoy a beer or 2 after work without getting in trouble...
no, he was not drunk, just in the wrong place at the wrong time

I hate deer on the road. Only problem with the .10 is that is about 5 drinks in the system of a normal 180 lb guy. I refuse to ride with any alcohol in my system. To each their own.

One more problem with the .10 BAC, that is legally drunk in all 50 states.

It's not smart to ride drunk, reaction times are reduced greatly. If something were to suddenly walk out in front of you there would be a big chance your not going to be able to react quick enough not to hit it.

On the way home from work this morning someone had hit a hog with a truck. I must have been one of the first to come by after the wreck because the hog was still kicking. I have to travel thru a small wooded area going to and from work everyday usually either before daylight or after dark  I alway slow down and get my feet off the highway pegs thru this section of the ride because for deer and hogs that roam that section of woods.

Nice deer.

Bowhunting is the hardest thing I’ve successfully tackled so far in life. And I use the word success loosely. As in most years I get a deer or two with the bow but not all years. Any deer legally taken with a bow is a trophy to be proud of. Congrats.
