Hail to the king baby!

Wife and I bundled up (50 F) and took the valk to Canadian Texas for the Fall Foiliage tour. This was one of the best weekends they had. Warmed up enough to take off jacket walking around the lake.  Though it has not been 'that' cold, the trees were mostly in fall colors. Didn't go to the craft show, elbow to elbow. Think it is about time for them to buy the closed prison and make it a community center.  The ride back was pretty too! We went down to Wheeler, took road to Magic City, Kellerville and down to McLean. Wife finnaly got to see what I had always liked about working in the Kellerville area.  Trees, wild plums, turkey, deer, and creek with running water. Roughly 300 miles on bike.  coolsmiley

Would have pictures later, but we lost the disposable camera on the way back.  Sad

If you have a few hours to kill, this is a great ride.

Oh, forgot the ending! Stopped at Rudy's and picked up BBQ, beans, tater salad! Went home and watched the DVR'd Texas Tech vs. Nebraska! Perfect ending for us!

Makes me think of some of my old stompin' grounds up near Stratford.  You guys must have loved the Tech game if you're Red Raiders.  My Aggies let me down this weekend.

Aggies really disappointed alot of folks this weekend.  Actually picked them for win in our office pool.

Both my sons graduated from Texas Tech. Oldest son's wife is a third generation Raider! We kinda like the place.  cooldude
