thank you Ingrid falling of her horse was a shock, she was a tough one.... I tidied up her horse truck once a year she used it that much.....but I guess she died doing what she loved I guess I hope your family is coming to terms with the loss of your Sister.. My thoughts were with you We had a discussion on our ride wondering if its age that so many we know were passing but we felt its not due to people getting older but as you gain more friends so the chances grow... as between the 3 of us having coffee we lost several to cancer/illness & accidents but of all ages 2 days left of my break so I better get more riding done

Nice pics Be careful on your rides though. I just read of an unruly tourist family creating havoc over there.

That would be the Irish crew I guess, I have not followed it much but have seen some footage. The Kid even stole a decorated christmas tree out of one store.....and they didn't see him do it until they reviewed footage of the mother stealing gear! I believe they have deportation notices now.

Those things are a blast. (Are there crocks in there???) The first time I rode a snowmobile, I discovered that it had no real brakes on ice, and ran a stop sign, almost got run over by a car, then rolled it down the hill on the other side of the road. About 30 years later, my first ride on a Skidoo, I ran fast back to my buddy's big 45' ChrisCraft, and failed to slow quickly enough and rammed into the boat (no brakes either). It didn't sink or anything, but I marked the paint. He didn't think it was funny and I had to give it to someone else to ride. I heard brakes on flying airplanes aren't so good either, so I passed on flying them.

Yup no brakes and no steering without giving it revs so it can catch people out in tight places.... But they can scrub speed pretty quick putting it into a had throttle spin

My brother in law shot his wife off the back doing that. She was none too happy either.

Well as the temps rise over the other side of the world we are starting to see rain....still not a lot where I live but but its been good to cool of, I get to ride year round, further south on the west coat of the South Island they copped a bit of weather so the wide braided rivers got a touch more flow This video shows a bridge that is the only way down the coast....the main road https://youtu.be/VnITLqqn3VQWhat it looked like yesterday afternoon, Might be time for an upgrade https://youtu.be/wPf49aaomYIthat is going to take some time to sort.....its a long way around with only 3 roads crossing the Southern Alps

Yeah, that's not gonna buff out.
That is a real (and increasing) issue in the US.

There are some pissed off locals, they have been saying for months the bridge will wash away in a flood, but the powers thought it best to build a wall to save it......out of gravel..which just washed away
so those that live in Fox and work in Franz, the next town up the coast have a 12 hour drive if they want to commute, a touch more than the usual 20 minute run.... not going to happen

The "before" picture of that bridge looked like it was decades overdue for replacement, especially on such a critical road. If there were a newer, more flood-resistant bridge not too far up the river, that would be another story.

Very beautiful I imagine they must have a foolproof system for separating cars and trains on the bridges ?

Very beautiful I imagine they must have a foolproof system for separating cars and trains on the bridges ? That pic was about 9 years old.....and to be honest I can't remember if it had barrier arms that dropped of just lights, the train would be on a low speed limit for sure.. probably updated now A video for the adventure riders, the 3rd KTM run....shame the drought broke for them but wet it more fun anyway. I would love to get another road legal adventure bike and these rides would awesome to do (with some fitness work first) My brother did the first one on an 1190 https://youtu.be/NsceUHpoHXoThe New KTM 790 would be fun in the tighter stuff where the big girls struggle a bit .

Sorry about the shoulder Lethal. How do you get a herd of cows to pose for you like that. Years ago, I stopped my big black interstate right next to an old (civil war era) rock wall surrounding a beef herd, and a giant black bull came over and wanted to fight.

Cool pics looks like the house is near being lost. Beach erosion has become a huge problem in Alaska the past few years also. (Hope the shoulder heals up soon)
