Got one on my Tourer's handlebar using a custom Cushman scooter mount which was machined specifically for it.
When I change the gauges around this summer or next it'll go up for sale.
Will post pics when I get a couple.

Which model Valkyrie are you mounting it on? More mounting spots on an I/S.

I am sorry. I have a 2003 "Fast Black".

Switch to a split handlebar clamp (the one from a Shadow works fine) and you can mount a gauge between the risers.

Wherever you put it, you want it in a good line of sight while riding.
It's really nothing more than an idiot light to let you know if you have a charging (alternator) failure.
Idiot lights don't show green like the Kury when properly charging (and don't be surprised if you never get more than one or two green bars, ever; that's normal), but if it turns red all the time (when an idiot light should come on), you want to notice it right away and take action.
If is is put somewhere not in line of sight, you may very well coast to a stop before ever seeing red.
I have them on both my interstates mounted on the fairing, just inside the speaker panel on the right. Up in my line of sight. If you don't mind the wire, it could be stuck on the std/tourer inside windshield hardware (with a little male/female velcro tape). It could probably be put on the same way on the inside of a handlebar master cylinder.
There may be one proviso: I don't ride at night much. The Kury LED gauge is brighter than other ordinary Valk instrument lights. It could be a distraction at night, depending on location.
It is said a Valk idling much below 1K (idle is supposed to be 900) is not charging. Until my bikes warm up, and after the choke is cut off, my bikes idle low, and I get a red LED on my gauge every time. I like that this tells me it is working. (If I set the idle up cold, the bike idles too high warm) It's not red for long.

One or two green lights is normal when riding or idling without additional loads. Two yellow is normal when idling with extra loads, such as turn signal or auxiliary lights on. I may have had it go down to one yellow when idling with heated clothing turned on. I usually turn off my jacket liner as I slow for a red light.
The lights auto-dim in low lighting conditions. Their brightness is only a distraction when you ride from shade to sunlight and they get brighter all of a sudden.

Griff, you're right, mine goes yellow (not red) when idling low at startup. Just looked it over again yesterday on a ride.
I forgot there was yellow, as well as green and red.
