Returned from an 80 mile loop through the Adirondacks and noticed my front right directional light was dangling downward, hanging by the wires. It seems the stem separated at the seam beneath the black band that covers the connection. I can slip them back together. (there is about a quarter inch overlap. But the connection will not hold, and I don't see any kind of set screw or system to hold things together firmly. Has something cracked? Has an item disconnected and dropped off? Any ideas would be helpful.                     Mike in New York

Actually, the schematics are a help. It looks like the tab that goes into the inner stem is broken off. (perhaps, tightened too much at some point) So, I cant secure the connection with the set screw. I;ve put it together with goop, and a loop of electric tape (which blends into the black rubber  sleeve) It seems secure and the flexible silicone Goop will allow it to be pulled apart in the future. If it doesn't hold, I'll order the pieces and replace.  Thanks. Mike

Sounds disgusting, but if it makes your stem stiffin up might be worth a try
