All I can say is wow, my bike runs great, it is smoother, which is hard to believe and the power is greater, she feels quicker and the MPG's is much better.  I was riding with a friend and I was not riding that hard at all, he rides a Harley Street Bob and he said that I was just walking away from him, lol.  My MPG before the work was 31 to 33 mpg at 75 mph and 26 to 28 mpg at 85 mph how at 75 mph I'm at 39 to 40 mpg and 34 to 36 mpg at 85 mph.
I'm just very please with the work, also he found that my Beetle bags where not installed right, also I had a swing arm that was messed up that he found.
I'm just glad that I now know what and how my bike is suppose to ride like.
Its the best thing I have done for my baby and worth every penny, she starts right up, she really likes to show off and go fast but I tell her we have to be careful ( I get in trouble at work when I get speed tickets lol).
I just love this bike.
If any of you are thinking of having Bob Smith aka Attic Rat do his performance work on your Valkyrie... Do it you will be glad when you get it back.
Real quick Bob does one bike at a time, he does them in month blocks, he did my bike in May of this year, I got my deposit to him last  October for May.  It takes him a month to do the work, he sends you picture updates of your bike as he is working on it and is really cool and kind of scary when you see your bikes insides lol.  His service is great and I have made a new friend.
Thank you again Bob you did great work.

The swing arm had a hole in it from a bolt on the Beetle bags that had been installed wrong, what was done to the engine was Bob ported the cylinder heads, polished the intakes and exhausted and valves, rebuilt the carbs, did a modification to the air box, desmog to fix vacuum leaks, and rebuilt the petcock.
I think that is it.  Also with the performance work the compression of the motor is greater and I need to run at least 91 octane fuel.

I've been right there in Bobs shop. And when he tells you he KNOW'S a good place for Mexican food-you can take it to the bank. Bob saved my 15 Inzane by finding and then installing my rear wheel bearings. All the RIGHT tools came out old bearings out new bearings in-they had spent the night in his freezer-all tools returned to their proper places we washed up and went to lunch at a good place he KNOW'S for Mexican food! B T W-the Sunday he put those bearings in wuz the weekend BEFORE my departure for Spearfish. He took time from His Sunday to help out a friend and a fellow Rider.  cooldude Bobs told me more than once and folks here that have had work done by him confirm-He WANT'S it RIGHT when it leaves his shop. I can tell you from personal experience-mine was RIGHT when it left his shop.  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

I got a too-long bolt with my 1800 Corbin bags... I could tell it was too long, so
I told them and they sent me the right one.

A barely-too-long one might not be noticed by the installer and if it rubbed on
the swingarm could eventually rub a hole in it...

Hubcapsc you are spot on. When the bags were installed they put the metal plates to the inside of the muffler bracket instead of the outside. thus the bolt heads cut the swing arm almost half into. I had a used swing arm that I replaced if with and repack the bearings. Reinstalled the bags correctly and all is well.
Thanks all for the kind words

I am a nobody...... BUT I will vouch for MR.ATTIC RAT.  I had my 03 STD. done a few months ago.
Old Gal purrs like a kitten. When you tell her to jump, she jumps. When I went to pick up the 03. Mr. BOB took me to look at one of HIS bike that he was thinking about selling to make room for another bike he was looking at.
Well by golly, he let me take it for a quick spin down the road. That bike as the same performance work done as the other bikes.
I was impressed with the bike that I left him a few BILLS to hold bike. Made trip back and brought that one home also..2000 model.
Jumping forward....... I was about 300 miles from him a few weeks ago on the 03.....He called me and we was shooting the S........I made the comment about the 03..... running great.... yada, yada, yada.
then I made comment that looks like I had a front fork seal starting to leak. Heck fire, next thing I know He telling me bring it on up, and we will fix it now.... But BOB, it is a holiday weekend... Sunday at that..
Told me he will check to make sure he had the parts.... YEP I got them... Come on up...
Well I be D........ OK .... MR BOB took time away on a Holiday..... I rode 300 miles to him, and we spent the afternoon taking the front end apart and rebuilding the front forks....
All I can say............. BOB is the MAN....... cooldude
AND
Heck of a Friend      Cheesy............. Alvan

bagelboy I think you have me confused with big BF. I do performance work and I don't travel. Big BF does general repair and he travels all over.
