Sherry and I went to Sail Boston yesterday to see the parade of tall ships into the harbor. It was a great time. Entry points to viewing locations around the harbor had near airport level security with bag checks, pocket emptying and handing wanding for potential concealed weapons. Large construction vehicles served as barriers to the secure area to ward off potential vehicle use as weapons.

Bernie you would have loved it. The waterfront was teeming with people.  Wink Although the wait for the ships was long because of pushing the start time one hour because of fog, everybody was happy and having a good time. Heard on the new last night that there was not one arrest in Boston yesterday that was attributed to the event.

After the parade, we headed over to Legal Test Kitchen for lunch so Sherry could get her lobster roll. I got a hamburger that was cooked to perfection at medium. A stroll of the Greenway after lunch to Quincy Market to get ice cream cones and people watch. Then home. Great day! A couple of pics below.

I did the same thing in Detroit about 30 years ago.

I love those ships, and climbed all over them.   cooldude

My favorite was the Norwegian Christian Radich.

Thanks for the pics Tony.  It would have been great to go, but I was stuck at work.  Someone has to retrieve those shopping carts left out in the lot.  Cheesy  I actually didn't get out of here until 2:15 am, after closing the store and receiving a produce truck, only to return today at 1:30.

Hey Scottie. You may want to retire once Amazon takes full control. I've read news stories that have indicated they are a ball buster of a Company to work for.

 Cool

Somebody will need to retrieve those drones once I shoot them for invading my air space....
This may require shopping carts, as there will be many tiny pieces in the clean up !!!!

Uncle Sam and Pension kick in in 18 mo.  If Amazon starts to bust balls, no sweat, I'm covered. I don't expect too many changes the first year other than hoping they realize WFM is too top heavy with 7 presidents and a zillion VP's.  things could be worse, we get bought out by Wally World.

As far as the drones go, I'll try to teach them to retrieve shopping carts, but I'm more concerned with them flying around the store fulfilling orders.  Oh my Gawd that will be fun.  uglystupid2
