Add-On "Sentinel" lights in place of I/S fog lights?

Has anyone on the board done a side-by-side comparison of the Interstate fog lamp assembly to one of these, in regards to attachment points and diameter?

I can probably fabricate an adapter bracket to make them work in place of my current I/S fog lamps, but don't want to lay out the cash unless I'm sure about the diameters.

The light diameters are the same but, as you stated, the brackets for mounting are going to be tricky.

Its got my interest. But I don't know how original mounts were set up.
