Riding the Mohawk Trail (RT2 Northern Mass) July 4th. Will leave Danbury 8am and take 91 up to Greenfield Mass. Then RT2 (Mohawk Trail) west thru North Adams into NY where 2 meets 22. Then down 22 to Queechy Lake for Lunch at the Backwater Cafe. Near the RT22 & I90 intersection. Then down 22 back to Danbury.

Anyone interested?

Interested but have to work.  Have to deliver an integration software release to Bell Canada on Friday and need all the hours between now and then.  After Friday I have a little more breathing room, not much but can atleast not work every day of the week.

At least I am sitting home right now in my lounge chair.  Working but at least I am home.

Enjoy the ride!

I would kill to do that run (living now in Phoenix).   Many moons ago, I went to North Adams State College, so did that Rt 2 run from home in Chelmsford many times.    What a great ride.  Enjoy!

I just got in from a ride and lucky for me we stopped at Carvel for an Ice Cream.

Brett, I am pushing that image away as best I can with the image of the cute little thing that made my Ice Cream.

Sorry to hear your on a 7 day work week. Maybe next time...

Couldn't shake that image of Brett setting nekid on his couch ....
So I put the beer away and started pouring gin & tonics with a splash of ruby red grapefruit juice
and a twist of lime.
Not a wise choice, as all I could imagine was a fuzzy little koala bear with a bald head setting on
a couch with a bag of chee-tos clutched in its paw and a laptop on the coffee table.

Dan-Bury, could you please describe the ice cream server you so politely mentioned ??

instead of taking I-91 all the way to Greenfield, might I suggest you get off on Rte 116 in Sunderland/South Deerfield and take that to Rte 112 in Ashfield.  North on Rte 112 will bring you back to Rte 2 in Shelburne  Falls.  Much nicer.

Not sure how descriptive I am allowed to get here without being censored but to give you a better image,, start with Shania Twains belly button and work out from there.

Should be at the Mobil just off the RT2 exit of 91 by 10:00.   For the Mobil, just stay to the right as you get off 91 and it is actually on RT2A just a few yards from the exit.

Thanks for posting it here on the VRCC page. It's amazing how something that started almost 20 years ago is still going. Thanks for organizing the ride, those F6B's are beautiful bikes. And you still meet the nicest people on Hondas. Great roads, weather and people. And almost no traffic all day. Close to 300 great miles.

Great ride, food, and company! Didn't get home until close to 8PM! My Garmin picked out the most obscure roads in the great state of Connecticut to bring me home. I kept looking for familiar stuff on Route 7, and was surprised we got to Connecticut so soon! Then I remembered that the parts of Route 7 that I'm familiar with are in Vermont... A good ride is always a good ride, thanks, Dan, and everyone!
