It was the 4th wettest spring on record here on the coast....
Which resulted in a paradise of breeding grounds for them flying bloodsuckers....
I almost accused our neighbor of flying a squadron of drones over our back lawn.....
Skeet-shooting with live targets, don't get any better than that....
Luckily they weren't armed and returned fie !!!!

Mid May I loaded up my kayak and spent 5 days out at  Mooselookmeguntic on Student's Island. The skeeter were OK but the black flies were HORRIBLE

How many Cuban smokes did you go thru in those 5 days holmie ??
We had 3 breeding seasons of mosquitos here....
The blackflies didn't seem all that bad, probably due to the
over abundance of 'skeeters !!

Satisfied my curiosity and looked up Student's Island on Google Earth. From what I saw, I figure you're doing some early preparing for your eventual move to Montana.  laugh

Glad you were able to reset your noodle.  Wink

And all along I thought 'resetting the noodle' was
moving it from the left pant leg to the right pant leg !!!
Whatever you call it, or how ever you do it.... don't catch it in your zipper   crazy2

I think we all pony up and buy it. I'm in for $100,000 and I'll work as the grounds manager.

Nice little slice of seclusion, isn't it ??
Will need a lot of $100,000 partners....the island could become congested !!

But we have seen moose, bear, Eagles & icebergs and the temps have only gotten up to the 70's twice.   I think the skeeters & black flies have trouble flying in 20 or 30 mph winds  Cheesy

Beautiful province but the roads are not good for a car. Two wheels can get around the potholes a lot better.  I think they spend more money on signs for potholes then they do for fixing the potholes.

Up to about 2500 miles and one more week to go before we return to Nova Scotia. It's been a great trip (even saw a black interstate  cooldude) and Carol only refused to go on/up two roads  Grin
