A week ago I had a "spontaneous" fracture of my left leg. Undecided  I was standing up and the leg let go.  Not totally unexpected per the history of the leg, but it looks like it will be some time before I ride again.  And I just put new tires front and back.  Darn!  Maybe it is a good thing that winter is on it's way.

WOW, sorry to hear of your problem. What is a "spontaneous" fracture ? Hope your recovery is fast. Wink

I have never heard of a spontaneous facture. Is it a residual effect of sustained trauma or stress? I wouldn't mind a few more details if you don't mind sharing, because it is something I'm unfamiliar with.

Hope it heals quickly and stays healed.

Pretty much like what has been stated.  The legs, both, were basically traumatically amputated in a traffic accident in '68.  I was on a bike, long story.  Many years and surgeries later this type of bone degeneration is not unheard of.  My doctors have worked hard to keep the leg(s) and I look at this as just another step.  Some of the problems have been because of shrapnel from my "vacation " to a tropical country in 1966.  Of course that can't be recognized.
