Just got an email with several bikes on closeout including the valkyrie.   I wonder what this makes a used one worth?

A friend of mine picked up a brand new 2014 Red Valkyrie with 14 miles on it for $8,000 plus tax in Pennsylvania.  This was in July.  No setup fees or other add-ons.

I bought my 2014 Valk a few months ago from Tri-County Powersports here in Southern Cali for $8888 plus tax and license (no destination or markup fees). Total out the door was $10,031. Friends of mine could not believe the price I paid for such an Awesome bike. Now, the cheapest I have seen here is 11k-12k before tax and license. Obviously at $8000 they won't last! Somebody is going to score  Cheesy

Just an observation. I have yet to see another New Valk cruzing the streets here in So Cal. I recently went to the Memorial Day Run in Riverside County where there was an estimated 7K bikes present (probably 6500 Harleys  Grin). I did see a couple of the original Valkyries but not a single New Valk!. This is one of the reasons  I purchased the Valkyrie going against all my Harley friends advise! I was unique and proud of it! cooldude

I can't answer because in France, the mimimum price for a used Valk (< than 6,000 km) is 15,300 $  Sad and in Germany, they don't sell AT ALL !  Embarrassed

On cycletrader I see 2014 low-mileage ones (under 10,000 miles, often much less) listed between $7500 and $9000 for non-ABS.  (Is there an ABS version)?

Kelly Blue Book has suggested trade-in value of $7700 for one in good condition.

Time to buy a used one might be now since dealers are blowing out the left over inventory so cheap! Once inventory is gone, prices for used ones will possibly go up a bit. Bike retailed at 17k and dealers now selling NOS for under 10k. So obviously at this time, used ones will be cheaper depending on the area. Personally I rather spend the extra 1-2k to be the first owner and put those miles on myself  Smiley

Just did a Cycle Trader search for New Valks within 250 miles of San Diego, California. No used ones and the cheapest New is $11500 before tax, lic, reg, and markup.  So yeah, depends on your area. I got lucky in my area (So Cal) 10k out the door non ABS version.

My 2 cents is that if in your area you can pick up a used 14-15 Valk with low miles under $9k;  Do it! No guaranty prices will stay that low in the coming months especially once dealers are out of stock. Supply and demand.

BTW, I have a huge grin everytime Harley guys can't stop looking at my Valk! Grin  They probably don't like it, but they keep staring at it .

The dealer was Leisure Time Honda-Suzuki (Powersports) of Corry, PA.  It was the only one left even though the Website showed a couple of them.

Crack me up, the more the 'Harley guys' demonstrate disdain the more I laugh.  Pathetic, mindless tools...just following the blind...  I just LOVE how unique my bike is...  and I blow away all of those noisy trash cans..lol...

The more I own and ride my Valkyrie the more I love it.  10.5k miles on her now, and she just keeps getting smoother and more powerful.  Did a 250mi ride yesterday with the old lady on the back...  I just love how fast you can pass anything, blast away from trouble spots...accelerate easily over 100mph, and then let off the throttle and the engine slows you right down...minimizing the need to use your brakes...  It's wound just right....  the only downside is how it eats up tires....

I don't think it is the bikes fault that the tires seem to ware fast.
It is just the price of fun my brother.

Idcrew, I bought my fully loaded black abs, windshield all chrome options, fog lamps, Corbin seat on eBay about a year ago for $9200. Best deal I ever made.
