Well, I see I have to get another part before I put my bike back together...I was cleaning the spline gears on the hub and pumkin of my 99CT and I noticed that #32 (91265-MY3-003 91265-MY3-003 OIL SEAL (65X85X7) is chewed up...(don't ask me how I did it)...Well, I guess I can replace it without taking it to the stealer...I was wondering how to remove it, and how to install a new one???...I think I can use a couple small screw drivers to remove the old one, how am I going to install a new one (I ordered two in case I screw up)...??? Also should I grease the bearing before I install the Seal???
I enjoy working on my bike...really interesting and I learn a lot of things...I see that the PO must have had the stealer install his last rear tire...the gears are all full of rust and had abolutly NO grease...The gears look great, and the drive shaft seems to have held its grease very well...I have spent the last 4 hours cleaning all the rusty spline gears (male and female)...But I would rather spend time then money...Any one that can give me some advice is more then welcome....Thanks...!!! Can't wait to ride is Lady again...!!!

Just pound it in with the end of a flat-head screwdriver  coolsmiley

That's an old VRCC joke about some dealers install seals...

I've put in a couple of the seals you're looking at, they come out easy
and the new one pushes in easy... you have to make sure you don't
push it in too far as I remember...

Give that bearing and the outer surface of the seal a coating of plain rubbing alcohol. It will slip right in place. An old trick anytime you're trying to move rubber against metal, or even plastic for that matter. If I have some rubber or plastic tubing being used as vibration protection for wires, I'll give it all a good shot of alky and the wires slip right through.

make sure the seal on the end of the driveshaft gets replaced every other tire change, to protect that cup.

Thanks ya'll...I will use that alky trick...heck, if it works, I might just start drinking again...been over 43 years...gosh I'm thirsty...!!!
Don't you just love this site...I learn way too much...Oh I do have a new seal for the drive shaft too...Thanks...!!!

When I change out the Oil Seal, should I grease the ball bearings that are under the seal, before replacing the Seal...???

The bearings and gears and stuff behind the seal are all lubricated by
final drive fluid...
