Replacing Drive Shaft Seal

Any hints on how to replace Oil Seal (#16) on my Propeller Shaft for my 99CT...??? I was thinking of (gently) using a large vise grip to hold the spring tension off...I don't have a vise here but could use a friends if this is the only way to remove the Clip retainer...!!!

Hubcap made a little jig out of plywood and screws that looked like a good way to do it. Don't do it the way I did. Left hand pushing down on the spring and right hand using circlip tool. That was hard. I think 2 people could do it just fine.

Meathead...This gives me an idea...Cable Tie Wraps...a couple tied to the spring to relieve the tension just enough to remove the slip ring...If it works, I'll patent it and we will be rich...hahaha...but I will let ya'll know...Thanks...!!!
