I'm getting a very light vibration at the point between acceleration and deceleration. I am not hearing anything but am feeling through my feet. feels like a ruff bit of road dose. First thought is U-joint or maybe pinion cup. Anyone know of another possible cause? I'm about to put on a new rear tire and would like to have the right parts on hand if possible.

You're right on your guess. Take it apart and then order what you need.

Vibration felt in the feet is often a Ujoint or wheel bearing (though mine were more thumping than vibrating, but both my Ujoint and wheel bearing failures were traumatic; parts destroyed).

The single row left rear is the most usual bearing failure.  If that has failed, getting your caliper spacer machined down and using a double row (same part number as the right rear) is highly recommended.  (It's in shop talk)  To my knowledge, not one left side double row bearing mod has ever failed (both mine haven't).

As far as shopping ahead, you don't need Honda bearings (though having spares of these is never a bad idea), the four digit numbers of Valk bearings can be found at most any auto parts or bearing house (the four digit Honda part numbers are the same universal bearing part numbers).  You do want top tier bearings (Honda's are), but any good bearing will do.

If your are going to order parts to have on hand, order all of them (never hurts to have them spares) or go ahead and tear it down and see whats what if you only want to by the needed parts, its the only way to tell.

Wheel bearing was done last tire change. Shaft and pinion cup the tire before. I was shocked at the condition of the shaft and cup last T change. Loaded it with molybdenum but at last T change it was dry, sitting in the bottom of the cup and the splines were showing some wear. Went with Mobil 1 synthetic grease last T change. I have the gut's for the universal on order and will go to drive lines NW and have it remade, unless one of the Vermin know of a better shop for Valk's. Thanks for your help all!
