I've no knowledge yet, but maybe start with your location in your profile, so you might get some offers from locals to you.

I can't remember your other posts, what is the problem?

Just bought a second Valkyrie, been sitting 17 years, doesnt run anything like my 97 Tourer.wouldnt even run after removing the 6x6 exhaust and reinstalling a stock system.Everyone seems to think carb adjustment should be my first priority. The carbs will be done last, after all other items have been addressed. After valve adjustment..here's where I'm at..forgive the poor sound quality of my cheap phone.

To me, from what I can hear, it's exhaust leak.

When you took the 6x6 off, did you get all the exhaust gasket(s) off? You have to lay under the bike, and with a small screw driver or a pick, insure that the crushed o-rings have all been removed from the heads.

I also read in one of your other posts about removing the rear drive, and the exhaust to get the axle out. You do not need to do that. You can raise the rear up, instead of down. You can also just release the exhaust from the rear hanger. Have you watched Dag's youtube video yet on doing the rear tire?

Just remember that those exhaust studs only need 7 in pounds of torque, so they aren't very tight.

I have the gaskets but reused the old ones.purchased a stock exhaust with baffles removed both to quiet the bike and troubleshoot.I had a bad valve stem on tire and was going dark side so everything needed to be removed. The exhaust covers are Gerry rigged as the rear attachment points are connected using wire, they are coming off in favor of truck stacks, when I will install new gaskets.Bike now needs a Kenda 130 90 17 belted rear tire on front, mounted opposite rotation,a pingel petcock, then I can diagnose the other issues.

Same as me, working on the 36" mitered truck stacks, and have the used gaskets on the stock exhausts, till I replace with the replacements and new o-rings. That's why I mentioned exhaust leak, mine sound close to the same as yours.
