So while watching the outer bands of hurricane Irma go by I decided to change out rear tire and brakes.

I could have safely got a couple thousand more miles but I was well over 20,000 on that tire and the brakes were thin so what the heck.

Was able to test the new tool.. I made a new solid bar to raise the swing arm

The better center to center hole to hole for stock pipes is 10 3/4"

Was very happy to see perfect splines still and drive shaft and pinion cup all nice and greased with pristine teeth.

No pictures but for a hurricane day we did ride to church before the stiff gusts started.  Now all new in the rear again  cooldude

Hey Chris, I am guessing this is on an Interstate? Would the center to center hole be different for a Tourer?

Hey Chris, I am guessing this is on an Interstate? Would the center to center hole be different for a Tourer?

Actually it was/is a standard but I think hole to hole 10 3/4 works on all bikes with OEM pipes

Great, thanks. I think I am going to make one. I'd guess 1/8 x 1 flat steel stock would be good?

Sounds perfect. The lower hole that the shock bolt goes through has to be near the end with corners rounded to be able to angle to the upper stud
