one of mine is out and I like the look of it

yes for the 2001 interstate not a car

What have you used when your h3 burned out

In 105000 miles this is only the 2nd one to burn out. I usually have them on in daylight too

Well, one of the amazon commenters used them on their IS.

"Used these to replace my motorcycle fog light bulbs as the disassembly process is arduous when they burn out and I've had 3 bulbs burn out over the life of the bike (Honda Valkyrie Interstate at 100K miles). These fit directly into the reflectors with only one small issue - the blade for the connector is not as thick as the one on the H3 bulbs, so had to do a little crimp/modification to the female end to get this to securely fasten. The bulbs themselves seem as bright as the 35 watt bulb they replaced and they seem to work well within the reflectors to send the light where it's supposed to go. Pricewise, these were a little less than the 35 watt H3 bulbs at Advance Auto but will last a whole lot longer. I will be purchasing additional lights from Calais as my other automotive bulbs reach the end of their lives."

I personally upgraded to 55 watt Halogen because my IS is the one I'll ride at night and I wanted as much light as possible on the road.

When I bought Big Mike Terry's I/S foglights, he included 55W bulbs with the kits along with 35W bulbs already installed.  In the paperwork he stated he included the 55W bulbs but didn't recommend them because there wasn't enough airflow through the pods to keep the light assemblies cool and the heat off the 55W bulbs were causing the reflectors to darken.

Oss, I think the leds would work well.

Evan, I got some a while back. I think Rainmaker recommended them. But, I'm no help because I haven't put them in yet. But, I'm good wth a Rainmaker endorsement.  cooldude

Saturday after the big ride  3Fan, Larry and I got the pods and mounts apart and the new led's in both pods since we were on a roll. cooldude

We did not adjust the aiming.

They seem MUCH brighter but since its been raining ever since the install I have not ridden with them yet,  In fact next to the silverstar headlights on my interstate its the difference between night and day

Will post pics if it ever stops raining again

That Amazon review is actually mine.  They are still working great.

So are these plug and play for our pods? Any issues with them?
