Does anyone know if a rear rotor from a 98 tourer is compatible with a 2000 interstate.

Nevermind I found the old post that clarifies this

I have a rotor that will fit a 99 Interstate if you need one. It is like new.

The quick answer is no.
1997 to ~mid 1999 Std and Tourers use the early style rear rotor that goes with the early rear wheels that have '1J' in the rotor recess on the left side of the rear wheel.

~Mid 1999 to 2003 Stds and Toures and all Interstates use the later rear rotor that goes with the later rear wheels that have '2J' in the rotor recess on the left side of the rear wheel.

This is assuming that both bikes have the original wheels that have not been changed.

Note: As for the front rotors, they are all interchangeable from 97-03. The early front wheel (97) has a '1J', the later (98-03) front wheels have a '2J'. Difference is in front bearing size.

As per the pic in the previous post, late ones have the countersunk screw heads. The early ones are not countersunk
Have a 2001 STD and use an early rim as my spare. Have never checked if the disc's will interchange using the right retaining bolts. they are both still in good shape.

Blackduck, they will not intgerchange. There is an offset built in to the rotor that keeps it from interchanging no matter which screw you use.

I know they are offset on the rim, just had not checked where the offset is.
I space the caliper when changing the rims to keep it central on the disc.
