According to the text on the engine description, Pinwall just dismanteld a unicorn.

"This part came off a dyno tested, carbureted 2000 Honda Valkyrie GL1500CF Interstate with 41,702 known miles and reverse on the engine. The vin number of the bike this part came off of is 1HFSC4103YA102250. the color of the bike is flat black. the bike had many custom items like fenders, rotor covers, chrome rims and side covers. Please watch the video(s) below which show you what we know about the functionality of the various systems of the vehicle before we dismantled it for parts."

Here is a link to the Engine on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-01-HONDA-GL1500-CF-INTERSTATE-99-01-CD-DELUXE-Valkyrie-1500-ENGINE-MOTOR-/311946311314?hash=item48a172f692:g:zVoAAOSwjfNZoDyC

There are other parts listed for this same bike, which was heavily customized.

Does anyone know anything about this bike with the unobtanium Reverse on it?

Thanks, Allan

I believe the Japanese market bikes had the reverse. But I don't see it in pics of this bike. It also said it dyno'd at 46.3 HP.  Shocked

Besides the GW, the Japanes Vakyrie has reverse.

That motor DOES NOT have a reverse on it (at least the external parts). There is no levers on the right side by the output shaft. I have looked over the GW GL1500 extensively, wondering how we can get one into a Valk, and there is nothing there. Just look over a GW engine yourself by the oil filer cap, and compare.

The reverse lever would be on the LEFT side (shifter side) and is very obvious on the Japanese bikes. Don't see one on this engine for sale.

I've asked Pinwall to explain the description containing the word "Reverse".
In looking at the pictures of this engine and another Valk engine they have on eBay, I can't see any difference.
I'm guessing that it's an error in the description, but would be surprised that they made that simple of an error.

Response from Pinwall;

Hello Allan
That is just an error. I fixed it. Looks like someone simply checked a box on our side so the listing got uploaded with reverse in it. I am sorry, I understand why you would have been excited. We have them, but in a goldwing engine

Pinwall's prices are getting ridiculous, scratched, road-rashed parts at or near new prices; I quit shopping them bout a year ago.  They used to be my go-to for inexpensive parts but no more.

Not only that, I've noticed more and more good bikes being parted out. They are all becoming dismantlers.

They haven't quit posting pictures have they?

I noticed they had crazy prices last time I searched "final drive" on ebay.

They sent me a bad final drive once, and when I got it, I told them (politely)
that I couldn't use that junk, and they paid return shipping and refunded my
money...
