perfect weather, an excellent ride, great food, engaging conversations, learned a bit, got the carbs sync'd, and picked up a couple custom leather covered chrome  side covers.

Oh yea, and the cowboys won.

I'd call that a pretty good day.

Thanks JC, Dave, and Charles.

What a great day.  The weather was perfect, the wrenching was fun, and the camaraderie was as I've come to expect.  Maybe I just appreciate it a bit more than I already did.

Top it off with burgers & dogs on the grill and chasing them with Dublin pure cane sugar Dr Pepper, and it just doesn't get much better.

I think I heard JC mention he counted 17 bikes.  Add two hosts and one caged and we had 20.

Many thanks to Lourdes & JC for their hospitality and to Flyboy for his time and expertise.

I had a great time at the party and was quite shocked that my Valk didn't need the carb's balanced with 87,000 miles on her.  I was bummed to have to leave early but my brother I hadn't seen in 15 years called and was in town for only a few hours.  I was surprised to find out he is riding again and has a custom Harley.

With a sixty mile range and a reserve of two throttle twists, he says he never rides far enough to get sore.  His wife rides a V-Rod.  Here's a little known fact (at least to me), if a V-Rod falls over, the foot pegs break off.  cooldude  His wife has dropped the bike so many times he just welds the pegs back on now.   2funny

Do we have a scheduled wrench party for next month?

Glad you got to catch up with your brother.

Really cool that your IS didn't need syncing.
