Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

If they are to tall you can always lower the bars some.

I had some whacky kind of really short risers on my bike when I got it, but I can say I like the one's you're looking at, and they work without changing cables or anything... -Mike

I like LaMonts risers,,but,, I installed them at the same time along with a TBR clamp and had to install longer cables.. They barely would work with re-routing them but I didn't like the looks of them stuck back behind the forks so I put on 3" longer ones..

I have the LaMonster risers on a stock set-up - and the OEM cables work fine. I find the extra length allows me to sit up straighter while riding - more comfortable with less back ache. Terry

I have them on my standard. Really made a great improvement to my sitting position and I can honestly say it made a big steering improvement too. No change to cables needed, I highly recommend them.

Can one of you guys that have them tell me how tall they are? The ones that came with my bike were about 6 inches tall. I don't want anything much taller than stock. Direct line only gives pullback as 1.5 inches. Nothing stated about height. A pair of stock came with the bike and I put them back on. Handles a whole lot better than the tall ones, especially at slower speeds.... many thanks for responses

I have them on an I/S, they are not extreme at all. It doesn't require a big change to make a big difference. In fact I wish they were a bit more "extreme". I've been thinking about fabricating an aluminum plate to increase the up and back dimensions. The aditional rise is important because it allows the grips to be in a more natural position and less strain on the wrists.

LaMonts risers measure 3.5" from the top of the fork clamp [perpendicular] to the center of the bars..
