My Std......Well, lets change that.
Was going to take seat off... Darn thing will not release... Angry
Have same thing happen a few years ago.
Getting that seat off and a new cable on was a Royal pain the the Hillary.... tickedoff

try pushing down on the seat above the latch, then turn key.  once off lots of lithium grease spray.

you can get to the locking thingy from the left side of bike and fiddle with it and you should be able to get it off.Mine just flexed too much to release.Had to reinforced something in there. cant recall and it's been fine for years
