I was wondering if there is any particular USB Power Socket that folks are using and are happy with. I need to add two (2) to my Interstate.  One for a GPS and the other for an Ipod/iPhone. Looking around on Amazon, and reading the reviews, I can't really decide on which ones to buy because it seems no matter which one I look at, there are folks that have had bad experiences. Apparently a lot of that stuff is made in China.

If you have one you are happy with and has given you good service over an extended period of time, please let me know what brand and where purchased.

I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I have this 3BR Powersports brand 1.2A USB charging port behind my Tourer's windshield, since 2013 or 2014, and it works as advertised.  The 1.2A it provides does not charge very quickly when my iPhone is in use playing music over Bluetooth.  I have it connected to the accessory circuit, so it is off when the key is off.

This is the product I would buy if replacing it, because of the 2.1A capacity:
TAPP Weatherproof Gen4 USB Power Port

I have this (below) in my saddlebag, wired to be on all the time, except I put a toggle switch in-line so I can prevent current draw when not in use.  I use it to charge my two Scala Rider G9 Bluetooth communicators when I am camping, or to charge my iPhone when riding.  Reviewers complain about the "waterproof" cap not being pliable enough, which isn't an issue for me as I leave it uncapped in my saddlebag.

I had installed one of these in my GW, and had it in the front pocket.

I have another, but my IS came with a dual cig lighter outlet with a dual USB port. It came on a used IS, and I've had it for almost a year now, and even though it's in the weather, there has been no problem yet.

I have one of these, plugs right into the SAE plug for my battery tender which is directly wired to the battery.  I don't have anything plugged into it unless I'm riding or just charging my phone for a bit so I don't have to worry about discharging the battery.  Works great and I have it zip-tied to the main wiring harness just under the rear of the gas tank on the throttle side.

I then have a usb cord running under the tank and up to the handlebars where I have this mount for my cell phone for GPS and accurate speedometer purposes. It has worked very well so far and holds up to the crappy roads we have around here. Very happy with both.

This is what I installed on my handlebar:

I like it because it has both cig and usb, and has rubber covers to keep moisture out.  It also has a built in voltmeter.

Thanks folks,

I went ahead and ordered two of the 2.1amp BR Powersports USB Plugs. They are a bit more than most and I ended up paying $39.95 each from gpscity. I also got a TAPP 9" Cable made specifically for my Gramin with the waterproof cover on the USB side.

Hopefully they will last and provide me with the power  I need for the GPS and IPod/iPhone.

And for the mounts, I went with the Kuryakyn Universal Accessory Mount.  I like the chrome, and they fit/work perfectly with the snap-in cradle mounts that are available from RAM for both the Garmin GPS and the Apple iPhone and iPod. The screw holes in the back of the cradles are spaced perfectly for mounting onto the Kuryakyn Universal Accessary Mount. And the cradles have a snap in lock so the device is held in super strong.

I have one one the handlebars setting vertical for the iPhone and the other is mounted inbetween the handlebar clamps ( replaced the large clamp with two separate ones from a Sabre) mounted in a horizontal position for the GPS. Everything looks good and hopefully the USB Power connections will have everything working good.
