Forgive me in advance, I did no searches, I just want to lower my headlight beam. What direction do I turn the vertical adjuster to lower the beam. Also what direction for the horizontal adjustment narrows or expands the beam. Still happy I have this 99 over my 08 Goldwing. Thanks.

I don't know, never touched it, but I would suspect that the Service Manual should have that info. Do you have a copy yet?

PDF can be had here,

http://www.valkyrienorway.com/download.html

The Valkyrie doesn't have the same kind of quick beam adjustment that the GW had. No air shock to increase/decrease, or the extra weight of a passenger on the back, to change the aim of the head light, then a little turn of the aim dial.

The beam can't be adjusted. Only those 2 dial on the back of the lights to correct the aim. I don't ride nights, so I don't even know where mine are aimed.

never had to touch mine sorry no help.  I know my 98 Valk std./tourer single headlight is not nearly as bright or wide of beam as my dual beam I/S at night for sure.

I always thought the I/S headlights were pretty darn bright at night, especially the brights even OEM since when on at night, the brights seem to shine WAY up to read the billboards/road signs way up high very, very bright/clear.  My std. valk not so much.

HBFL, you'll find more people willing to help those that at least attempt to help themselves first, a simple board search came up with this;

I've used this method since I aimed headlights on my first car, I park facing a wall and turn the screw and observe which way the light is moving.   cooldude

For the record clockwise raises the beam CC Lowers it on the vertical adjusters. I had to lower mine a good bit so my high beam doesn’t hit the treetops. ESP with my sweet pillion. All good.
