I just purchased a 98 Valkyrie who's home has been in Denver, Colorado since new. She now lives with me near Dallas. As Denver is a mile-high and Dallas is not much above sea level, are any adjustments required. She seems to run very well here so far.

Run it like you stole it. Plenty of help in the DFW area. Bunch of good people up there.

If the previous owner did nothing to the carbs, you should have no problem.

The absolute maximum you may want to try is a pilot jet adjustment... but it's not needed.

You'll get more of a change going from Texas heat to Texas thunderstorms than going from 5000 ft to sea level.

Hey, JV.

Howdy from the DFW VRCC!  Congratulations on your new purchase.

Don't know what you're doing Sunday, starting 10-10:30 and going as long as we need to, but we're having a wrench party (with burgers provided by our host) and will be syncing lots of carbs.  There will be some experienced Valkyrie brain power there.  Come on up if you're free.

Here's the thread with all the details.  http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,9755.0.html

Hope to meet you soon,

Gosh, I would love to join you guys and thank you so much for the invite. Problem is, we are due in Fort Davis on Thursday afternoon for a family reunion that will last through Sunday.

I have a Valkyrie bike and Tammy has a Valkyrie trike. We would love to hook up with you guys in the near future.

Looking forward to it.  We'll have our monthly dinner/meeting on the 12th - location TBD.  We'll also have a club ride on the 15th - destination TBD, but food will be involved.
