I've built one as a test and use a highend water proof Potentiometer for the variable style.  Works very well and nice to be able to control the adjustment.

The fixed one of course is very discreet.

I've gotten 6 requests and will make these since I've already got the supplies.  Before I order more stuff, I want to see how many others are interested?  (Please ignore if you've already requested here or via email.)
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED PLEASE PM ME.

Costs:
Adjustable: $50 SHIPPED 48U.S.
Fixed:  $45 SHIPPED 48U.S.

If the cost seems high, be aware that there's a bit of plastic, etc. that has to be ordered (in low quantities) from different suppliers, so the shipping costs add on top of the assembly time.

So far, I like mine.  I actually undid the wired fixed resistance version on mine and installed the Adjustable type.  Very convenient and works very nicely.

So where can this be purchased if still available?
Second question, should i still be changing my standards ICM and carb springs to I/S ones?

Thank you
Sasha

I'm waiting on responses on the use on a standard w/o ANY mod's before I order a unit. Keep up the good work Jersey. I appreciate folk who are inventive.

Picked mine up on Saturday morning. Now I just have to figure out how to install it. I also got my VRCC calendar yesterday, I'll have to wait until January to use it though.

I have to admit, no instructions were included cause of all the details in the other posts.  Fairly straight forwardto install.
-remove right frame cover in front of gas tank.
-located the red 4 pin plug, disconnect, and reconnect the mod.
-located the 2 pin locking plug, disconnect, and reconnect the mod
-if you have the adjustable version, drill a 1/4" hole in the black cover where you want the dial to be. Insert and tighten the dial into the hole
-re insert the black cover.

That's it.

ok so i popped the right cover off of my interstate. There was only one red wire, and it had 5 prongs and not 4. puilled everything out and saw nothing that even resembles hookups included on this mod. finally gave up and put everything back together. please advise.

edit: nevermind. i figured it out. i removed the plastic BEHIND the tank, you were talking about up by the forks. lemme go try her out.

edit:
well. she does seem a little snappier at lower rpms. i rode her for about 5 mins up the road, and tested one of the other forum members statement about her having enough power to idle in first gear and still make enough power to move, and yea, she does. i took my hand off the throttle and coasted her back to the house on a bumpy road, never had to put my foot down once.  interesting.

Right now I'm in the process of making a 3ph convertor for the garage. If it works out I may build some more as I found a stash of almost new 5 hp. motors for sale.

I would be interested in similar feedback. Standard without any IS mods? Results?

I have a problem drilling into a $62 neck cover (which is cheap compared to VT1100C @ $244) w/o some sort ideer' if it's going to work.

That's a fair concern.  I just noticed EBAY had some used ones for about $10.  Could use that for the drilling and keep your OEM one as a backup.
