Has anyone ever noticed or tried to find out which direction the alternator rotates on our bikes? Clockwise or counter. For testing purposes, I would like to spin it in the same direction as running direction on the engine. TIA

Opposite of engine crank.

Honda purposely rotated the alternator opposite the crank to counter engine torque.
Started in 1975 that way.

Thanks for the replies, I will pull the center cover to see the direction of rotation. Thanks again
