I'm in.  What time are we leaving?  I'm in Seabrook right down the street from HayHauler's friend.  We're headed to roughly 288 south of Bltwy 8.  What's your preferred route?  I usually go 6, but that's mainly because I hate tollbooths.
Email me if you want a more in-depth discussion.

Mark..I too like like the hyw.6 route but any direction is ok with me..Maybe we could agree on a time and meet at Fm 528/Fm518...I believe there is a Chevron Station on the North/West corner of this intersection. Steve what are your thoughts?

I will meet y'all there and ride over with you.  Me and the wife will be on the Green and Silver IS.
At the corner of 518 and 528 there is a McDonalds, JackInTheBox, Walgreens, and a small strip center.
Which one do ya'll want to meet at?  I suggest McDonalds.  It has a big parking lot behind it (used to be a grocery store).
Let me know and we'll meet the Kemah/Seabrook group there.

Thanks to Lyn-del and Wizard for hosting the Houston wrench party!  We sync'd carbs, changed fluids, replaced brakes, and ate some good sausage and burgers.  We visited and helped each other work on our bikes.
Even met some new Valk riders and one that has been missing for a while (Brad).
It was good to meet all of you and I look forward to seeing everyone at the dinner this Wednesday evening out near Katy.

We had a good turnout.  16 people, including photographer.  Not quite DFW's 17, but we had more Valkyries there.

Mike supervised.

Jim synched carbs.

Gotta love pod removal.

Air filter replacement...

Whole lotta brake bleedin goin on.

A petcock rebuild.

Mike still supervising.  This time, he actually looked at the job being done!

For those of you who would object that I counted all hands in the count of 16, and that I shouldn't count certain short blondes...
Don't make me go there again with respect to mechanical abilities of Houstonians vs. DFWers.  Even she got in on the game.

Nope. Won't even mention that 2 of your headcount were Motorose and Thalas'shaya from DFW (did not notice any Houstonians at our wrench party). Cool

And it's true you had more Valks - half of them are Lyn-Del's  Grin

Looks like everyone had a good time.  Congrats.

I think that says something about the appeal of ours vs. yours.  (:

So?  (:

Oh, absolutely.  Shelley had the best time of all (as usual).  We got some good work done (may have solved my shifting problem), saw some good friends, and ate some good food.  What more could you ask for?

Wizard will be here, I'll be in Austin at a seminar.  It ends around 5 p.m., then I have the long drive home.  Surely you'll be through by then??
