Started an hour ago, no wind as of yet.
Temps have been bouncing between 24 and 30 for the past couple of hours....
I'm expecting a heavy wet snow fall, with less inches than predicted.

Started snowing lightly in Metro West Boston at about 7 AM. Intensity picked up quickly and we're getting moderate to heavy snow snow now. It's windy, too. We're far enough from the coast such that the snow will be fluffy light. Hopefully that diminishes the chance of losing power. We don't have a generator. Losing power would suck.

Lots of plow activity. I'm confident that tomorrow morning the roads will be well cleaned up and everybody can get back to work.

Good luck everyone and hope we all stay warm!

Finished making the 'first' clearing.....
8" fresh snow / ice pellets so far....
Guessing it's 75% snow and 25% ice pellets.....
Temps have dropped to 26* .....
Winds are starting to increase, trees are starting to sway.....

I haven't been out yet to check. Eye balling the table on the deck, it looks like at least 12 inches of snow. Heading out after dinner to clean-up. Huge pile of snow at the end of the driveway. It's going to take a while.   Undecided

All cleaned up! I've just got to shovel the deck, but that can wait until tomorrow after work.

Just about 14 inches of snow. Now it's time for a hot shower and maybe a little single malt if I'm not too tired.

Temps rose early evening yesterday, the snow / ice pellets turned to all rain
by 7 and stayed all rain for several hours.  Temps once again dropped, with the
rain turning back to snow.......
We have a 2" crust / ice covering 10 plus inches of a wet mealy snow / ice pellet combo.
The disadvantages of being on the coast....wet heavy snow & ice as compared to
light and fluffy snow away from the coast....
