I changed my 99 Interstate to a single seat and I ordered a new seat for a 99 standard to put on the bike. Well, they sent me the "Ass Torture" model instead of the "Heavenly Ride" model I wanted and I am miserable. I notice the standard seats have a different model number for the newer Valkyries (2003) Anyone know what the difference is?

I believe you ordered the wrong seat. The improved model is for 2000 and newer bikes which would fit yours. Maybe you can exchange it.

Thanks. Is it improved in comfort? I don't mind buying another.

It's a world of difference.  I didn't think you could even still get the old pre-2000 saddle.  Did you buy it used?

The 2000+ saddle can be acquired for a little under $100 and is well worth it.

It probably is for a tough Marine. For a wimpy Sailor, it's not worth $25. (Except as a base for a Russell)  Wink

No, I bought it new last year. I will shop around for a new 2000-2003 seat. Save my old one for a Russell pan one day. Thanks for the info.
