Evening all,
I'm going to Super Valk my IS, well Big BF is actually.  Roll Eyes I'd like to know your thoughts on your choice of a solo seat. I'm 6' and 175 and I have an Ultimate Bigboy on my Tourer so know about those. I have a Corbin Stinger seat that I was considering putting on my Tourer but might use it on the IS. Any advise is appreciated.  coolsmiley

Everyone is so different that it is not easy. What works for one does not work for another.  You have both the Corbin and Untimate so you have a good feel for both.  I have owned and have tried many and I liked the Russell for feel but not looks - Mustang for looks but not feel - I personally did end up with the Corbin however I really like the Ultimate low boy as well. But, what works for me could be polar opposite to you.  Good luck Keith.

I have a supervalked IS (interstate) with a Bigboy, and a trunked IS with a Lowboy.

I like both seats, but like the Bigboy better (esp for long rides and heat) (only 5'9").

But the beauty is the seats can be swapped back and forth to either bike with a single key turn.

My advice is to pick a seat your butt likes, and NOT a seat you think looks the best.

My butt hates all Corbins (after an hour), but my eyes like how they look.  Smiley

A number of guys have put a bit lowered shield on their supervalks.  If you might do this, you might want a bit lower seat to go with the lower shield.  IE, don't decide on a seat ($), until you have already decided on risers, foot supports (peg lowering?), a shield, yada.

If you ride with that FL crowd, swap seats with different guys for an hour here and there and make an informed decision.

With luck, you might even trade the Corbin to someone.   Grin

A lot of the choice depends on how much you intend to ride and if the point is the look or comfort.  If you are going to be riding any amount of miles (touring), you need your butt, ankles, knees and hip joints to be comfortable. Once you get a comfortable seating position, move to the windshield and handle bars (some what limited for Valk).

I just used a Standard seat instead of the IS seat.
I like it, but my butt seems seat insensitive.
Ie. I usually never change from a stock seat on any bike.

Wink Well thx guys for the thoughts. I guess I have a lot to look forward to dealing with seats and windshield size. I will get a smaller windshield for sure. Moreira72 I like the way your IS looks, kinda what I was envisioning.  cooldude I might ride it up to InZane in June.  coolsmiley

Thanks, also ask BigBF for the radio antenna. I got mine from him. It mounts to saddlebag brackets, and you can eliminate the ugly factory antenna when you have the trunk back on! Good luck! cooldude
