Through the great resources on this board, I compiled the list below. I just bought a 99 Interstate and I am going to remove the trunk and add the rear taillight, and add the solo seat. I wont use the term Super Valk as that requires metal to be cut or ground, which I probably will not be doing. Once removed, the trunk will probably be wrapped in a blanket and wind up in the deep upper recesses of the shed. I will only have a Trunkless Valk...
The parts listed exist in various pieces by other posters, but I did not find all the pieces listed together, so thought I would post mine so as to maybe make it easier for another new owner who is looking to remove the trunk and add the taillight, and get a factory(cheap) solo seat. Also, the sub harness part number had changed from what I found on various posts, which caused me a bit of confusion, but if you look at the list below you will see what I mean. I will also mention that I was told  the taillight assembly is in very short supply. They showed only 2 left in the Honda parts system, and for the seat there was only 1, which is being shipped in for me from Japan. I don't know if when the original parts are gone, they are gone for good from Honda? I cant imagine them firing up the presses to make parts for 20 year old bikes, but that's just a guess. The reason I have 2 seat part numbers listed is because I originally ordered the 1999 solo seat(zeroed out below), and then read a post saying that the 2000 and up is much more comfortable, so I called and had the seat in my order changed. I ordered from partzilla, only because they had the lowest prices, and I don't have a better option that I know of to support an independent place locally. I will probably try HDL for future orders, as I am sure they will be more knowledgeable about specifics.

Did you include the fender rails or are you leaving the i/s ones on?
Lots of people that go the solo route like the tourer rails so as to put the little bar aross or something of the sort ....(not the best pic of this bar ) ...with the spikes ....
I have one of those rear luggage rack deals that go over where the rear seat went but id have to get $300 for it ....

I did not order the fender rails yet. Thanks for pointing that out, as if someone is doing this project they need to address the rails as well. I am still drinking about which way I am going to go with them. I know there are the tourer ones you showed, and I saw some with no tabs at all. I probably will not leave the IS ones on, but once the trunk is off I will have to see if I can dream up a way to make them aesthetically pleasing...
Thanks for the offer of the trunk rack, but not sure I will need to carry more than the bags will hold.
