Tacoma/ Lakewood

« on: January 18, 2018, 04:45:10 PM »

Hey guys, I just moved to the Tacoma area but my back tire blew out on the highway a few months ago so my baby is not in good shape. Trying to see if anybody has some parts I could buy off of them or if there is a decent parts shop around as well as a good mech for the stuff I can’t do myself. Any thing helps and I hope I can get to riding with you guys soon.

Welcome.
I am to far away to help with anything except advise.
And maybe that is all you need.

This site is a great resource, so use it, ask questions, search it, etc.

Hey Danny: How bad is it? Can you send some photos or attach some to this forum? You are in a good area. I am in south Idaho so a bit of a ways, but there are folks in Coeur De’Alene, and others in the Seattle area that are pretty good with a wrench. If you haven’t done so already, I’d also post on the main technical board but we really need an idea how much damage and what parts you need. There are a lot of resources out there: Pinwall Cycle salvage has lots of Valk stuff, as does Ebay. Did you lay it down? Is the rear wheel damaged? Engine guard? Pegs? Exhaust? Handlebars? Let us know and we can at least help with resources.
Thanks and sorry for the bad luck. Glad you are OK though.

Hi Danny, welcome aboard. There is a good bunch of people all in the Seattle area who should be able to help a little.

Pictures would help in let us know what parts you are looking for. A list for others.

I ended up giving all my left over parts to Icelander.

The Vermin are closing up their web site (cost$) and using this Chapter forum instead. But hopefully Kendall will see and post once he knows what it is you want. I know there was a mounted front tire.
