OK Valkyriders, I need paint info. I am going to get my Tsuakyu Jumbo Hard bags painted to match the bike. I need paint color codes for AFTERMARKET paint. I am not using Colorite...My bike is a '98 Std, Pearl Coronado Blue and Pearl Ivory Cream. The cream is an exact match to a Toyota color, but I do not know the paint #. The blue does not have a automotive exact match but, maybe someone knows a paint # that is damn close. Mr Google is not helping me much on this. Thanks

You may not be using colorite but they do show you the paint codes which you can take anywhere that mixes automotive paints.
Pearl Coronado Blue - PB255M
Pearl Ivory Cream - Y137M

If your doing the painting make sure you get the proper base color before laying down the Pearl Ivory Cream.

And it wont match....U.S. paints has oem paint and it will match.....
And I doubt the cream is an exact match once you put them side by side JMHO.

Yes, those are Colorite codes. The paint guys say those numbers will not cross to anything else.  Believe me, I've tried.

Co outer color match will not even work. Trust me ,it can get close but it won't match bite the bullet and pay for the OEM paint. You won't be sorry.

Find a paint shop with a scanner and get them to scan and mix the color, Over in NZ most good automotive paint shops have scanners, Most times you get good matches .......I would hate to not have one after using it for a couple of years now, we still spray out test panels to ensure a good match but they are mostly pretty close mixed from a scanned formula  Smiley

My 99' Silver Pearl took my local paint supplier a week to get the sample right and had to mixed as a solvent base like the original. I believe Honda started using water bourne mid 2000' thus most suppliers are using this formula. Fortunately my supplier has been around 40 yrs. but still challenged them. Turned out to be a perfect match.

not directly related, but when I had to get my lower rocker panel painted on my 2014 hyundai sonata the local repair shop punched in the hyundai paint code and low and behold there were like 7 different shades of the SAME paint code and 2-3 matched pretty close but 3-4 were way off too dark or too light, etc.  Weird, never knew that.  I thought 1 paint code would be one color exact match of harbor grey metallic which was not the case.

Not unusual to have many variants, Started with one formula but different factories/ years mixed them differently.....as long as you have the variant books its easy to find which variants were close.....

Glad that's all a thing of the past with the scanner, it chooses the best match, then shows what they look like to what was scanned Cheesy

Find a scanner that will match Y130P? Had three different ones scan it and none were close..had to go with U.S. Paints who actually makes that paint and guess what perfect match. The scanners did not work. Not even close.
