Orianthi Panagaris or Orianthi is a Greek-Australian guitarist. Her style is often compared to other virtuosos such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eddie Van Halen.

She learned to play the acoustic guitar at six because of her father, started electric when she was eleven and left school at 15 to focus on writing songs and performing. She has been playing in different bands since she was 14 in England where she grew and in France. Her first support show was for Steve Vai aged 15. Orianthi had the opportunity to meet and jam with Carlos Santana when she was 18 in her hometown at Memorial Drive. He invited Orianthi to get up and jam with him at soundcheck then later asked if she would join him on stage that night to jam. She signed with Geffen Records, and is living in Los Angeles, US, England & Japan.

Orianthi has played with Prince, made a video clip for Panasonic HD, had a song on the Bratz movie, played at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival, appeared in the New York Times business section promoting Eco-friendly acoustic guitars, and was named in the 12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists. She also appeared at the 51st annual Grammy Awards as Carrie Underwood's lead guitarist, with Underwood inviting Orianthi to become a member of her band.

Orianthi was also Michael Jackson's lead guitarist and was present on all rehearsals for his This Is It tour before his death. She played and sang at Jackson's memorial, globally televised live on July 7, 2009. She appears in the film Michael Jackson's This Is It, which chronicles the rehearsals for the tour.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

Brother Brian, you done done it again my friend!!!!!!!

WOW!  That little girl is awesome!!!!!!

Gotta go out and get the Believe CD now....WOW!

You know, as an old timer, ever since the mid 70's you just keep thinking that the "spirit" of ROCK AND ROLL died or is gone or JUST turned into "disco".  And ever since then, you get these occasional spirits that jam and are jam packed with ROCK AND ROLL that keep things alive for more than 30 years now.

I mean, I kind of thought that Rock died in the mid 70's and here you are turning us onto a talent in 2009 that blows me away.  That LITTLE GIRL ROCKS BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad to see that future generations like our beloved Lil'Bit can still hear a passion and a talent like that for people her age.  Gives me faith for the future.

Again - thanks Brian - that little girl ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Man, I thought the Lights of Manos was awesome and it only got better after that!

I sure am glad that I am away from the Big Brother filters on my internet and glad that you just turned me on to what I was just turned onto!  Keep em coming brother!

You know, I enjoy these - this is how to play what they just played videos - learn the guitar thingies.  They show all these chord patterns - hey try and come up wiith them to begin with.  Usually they take an easy patten and not what the original even was. Thanks Brian!!!!!!  The little girl ROCKS BRO!

Wow Brian, what a guitarist. And I had never heard of her before. The gig with Santana was astounding. Thanks again.
