Highside'ed on my Suzuki sportbike.  Tibial Plateau Fracture of left leg.   Also separated my shoulder.  It's been a month since the accident.   Looking forward being able to walk again, eta two months.   I didn't respect the bike that day.   Perhaps after 18 years and 60k+ riding it, i though i knew it all.   Not looking for sympathy - not deserved.   I am looking to sway those of you who are on the fence for wearing/not-wearing your helmet.   Only reason I am still around is because my Aria Signet took the brunt of the impact, saving my melon.   Consider putting a good quality helmet on fellas, every ride, no exceptions.   When I am capable of riding again, the Valk's gonna be ridden with much more respect.

Glad you're able to post this...could have been worse.

ATGATT is a pretty good montra.  And, according to Aretha Franklin, so is RESPECT.

Keep up your rehab.  Spring will be here soon.

I hear you.  I wear nothing but a full face helmet, even on those hotter than hell muggy days.  I have seen what happens to people who don't wear a helmet, or wear one of those shorties.  To each their own, though.
Glad to hear that you are on the mend.  cooldude

Glad you are still around and recovering!  Agree on the helmet.  I always use a full face Shoei.
