Carbuetor Bank Assembly Thrust Spring
«

Need some help! Does anyone know the purpose of the "thrust spring" located in between the carburetors??
Separating the carbs and spring fell out. Doesn't appear it really does anything. Just want to make sure I install it back correctly. Really curious what it is for....
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,

it helps keep the throttle shafts centered so the butterflies don't bind up
