Cycle Terminal is currently not offering their single horn wiring kit for Stebel, Wolo, etc. Can anyone suggest another source that would provide the horn relay and horn wiring harness ?

thanx,

Harness?  Really?  I used a std 30amp relay for my Wolo and powered it from the PC-8 fuse panel, triggered by the horn button. Substitute a single fuse holder if you haven't set up a fuse panel. Add a ground wire to a nearby screw.  Easier than running a harness. Relay, $10 at most at retail though I buy them in bulk for much less. Wire, a few cents.

I have a Wolo on one bike and Stebel on the other. Both came with a relay so the install is easy, run the relay off the bike's horn button and feed the horn from a fused wire either off the battery or another good 12v source, the neg. to a good ground as Mark said. No commercial harness needed.....don't overthink the project.

I recall when I installed a water temperature gauge in my I/S...

I bought Autometer because they are reliable and made in the good and oldie USA. They had the model I wanted in 2 options: *with* the wiring harness (20 bucks or something) or *without* it.

I choose the one *without* the harness trying to save 20 bucks... Damn, it is not rocket science! Just 3 wires (power, ground, sensor).  Right?

Then I had to buy 3 colors of wire (black, red, green), connectors, solder and shrink wrap tubing... ended up spending over 50 bucks.

Followup:  bought the Wolo719 and the Wolo wiring kit ($10).......totally worth it.  Mounting the Wolo where the original beep beep horn was using aluminum flat stock.  Everything works fine, but I'm going to make a new mounting bracket out of flat steel, the aluminum flat stock flexes way too much in the wind and rough road conditions.  Love the sound.

thanx to all,

Keep in mind, they like the horn to be aimed where it gets air, but I had two under my swingarm, aimed forward, and they sucked up so much water and crud, they didn't last.  Maybe a year each.

Up front on the std horn mount, pointing the horn left or right is a good idea, opposed to forward.
