Hi!
I will be installing a new choke cable on my Tourer this winter.
At Honda Direct Line, I have noticed a Barnett one here http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=5474&str=2,
and a Motion Pro one here http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=1107&str=2.

Other than the price difference, has anyone here seen the physical differences/appearance, etc. between these two?

Thanks!  Smiley

If it were me I would do the MotionPro for your choke cable.
And maybe I would spend the extra for the Barnett cables if I were replacing the throttle cables.
The choke cable doesn't get nearly the workout the throttle cables do. Save a few bucks. Why not? But, that's just me.

I had Motion Pro throttle and speedo cables on my 1100 ACE Tourer. Within 6 months, the protective covering turned browninsh black.

The best advice would be to stay with OEM.

Why?

Because they are a perfect replacement. I'll repeat that.   PERFECT!

Anything else would be a copy, a copy trying to replicate the original OEM.

Cause some of us prefer the the look of stainless braided lines not oem black vinyl.

Sorry ... I'm not a fan of keeping a bike OEM. I just need feedback on both of these choke cables.

Note: Mine has had a "few" modifications in the past years.  Smiley

I agree with you. I have had the Barnett throttle cables for 3 or 4 years. I was just wondering if the Motion Pro ones were as good as Barnett.
Thanks!

That's exactly what I'm afraid of LOL! I will most probably order the Barnett choke cable. Thanks!

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

The coating is still black? I was under the impression that these were stainless steel, with a transparent plastic cover.

They do make black vinyl ones.  You haven't had a problem with the coating on the Barnetts?

They are not as nice as when new, but still not too bad. I polish them up one in a while.
I have Magnum Sterling front brake lines. Now that's nice stuff! If they had a choke cable, I'd buy it.
