A roadster!

So, last October (October 1) we went down in slick mud.  Judy broke her ankle.  The day before she was to see her orthopod to get a "real cast" (October 7) she fell and broke her hip (hobbling around on her walker).  Its been weeks of surgery followed by rehab followed by hot packs/cold packs, and on and on.

Judy has been after me for several days to take her for a ride "when the weather is nice enough."  Today was the day.  We were out for about an hour-and-a-half, riding through the countryside, glad to be out.  The ride went well.

When we got home Judy said, "Oh!  I forgot about this part!"  It took her about a full minute to dismount the bike.  Then she had to stand still for about another minute "to let things quiet down."  Then she walked off, still wearing her helmet, to move the sprinkler she had running in the flower bed.  Farmer!

There is hope!

Bill

Glad to hear that Judy is getting better.  I know that when my back is aching, I go through the same process when I dismount.  Grin
